What is the best cream?

I want a cream that i can use after i shave that soothes the skin and keeps it stubble free. I Have tried clinique aftershave balm, hugo boss and all the gillette and nivea products and loreal for men but they are all rubbish and leave my skin looking more stubly or itchy. Can someone please advise me on a cream that helps my skin to physically recover and also reduces stubble appearance?
