Is the Epiphone Explorer GT and Peavey Vypry 30 or 75 watt a good combination to use?

I plan on buying the Explorer GT b/c it has a light body and I like the way it sounds and looks also b/c of the killswitch it has. I also plan on buying a Peavey Vypyr 30 or 75 watt amp(depending on how much money I have when I go buy it). Does this sounds like a good combination to use at band practices and gigs?
