I'm an alto and I need a soulful song thats strong (like Killing Me Softly by The Fugees). Any ideas?

Hi there fellow Alto (first or second?, can sometimes make a difference), but maybe try Toni Braxton's "Inbreak My Heart", or something from Tracy Chapman. Bonnie Raitt (also very soulful, nice warm and low tones to her vocals.) Hope the ideas are helpful!
