Did you know that British politicians & scientists really do believe that 2012 is the end of the world...?

Interesting gloom and impending doom stories to try to make us feel weak and insignificant, but they said similar things on the run up to the year 2000 about the so-called 'millennium-bug', remember that one? Turned out to be a load of old rubbish, and nothing happened at all. Planes were going to fall out of the sky, hole in the wall machines would crash, the banking system would fail as Wall Street and London would not be able to trade. Hospitals would have deaths in their ICU wards, and it could even trigger a nuclear war I heard. How wrong they all were.
