Pine cladding above a cooker covered in grease. This is in a chalet/lodge. Tried everything i could think of?

Grease remover, neat fairy liquid etc but no joy . i have heard of vinegar,baking soda,and even cooking oil which someone says removes it as grease removes grease. Any tips please
